Senior Azure Engineer

Join a high-performing public cloud engineering team driving the Azure portfolio. We’re looking for a senior engineer with a strong foundation in Azure core infrastructure, security, and governance. You’ll help design and implement secure, compliant, and scalable platforms aligned with European regulations and Microsoft’s sovereign cloud roadmap.

This role is ideal for a self-directed engineer with broad Azure knowledge and deep expertise in core services, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps. You’ll improve and extend our modular portfolio by contributing both technically and strategically in a high-trust environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement compliant, secure Azure Landing Zones

• Build IaC modules for networking, policies, identity, and monitoring

• Integrate security, backup, and observability frameworks

• Embed standards like BIO, NIS2, CIS, and Microsoft’s sovereign capabilities

• Understand and build upon Atos’s portfolio; improve or extend it where needed

Must-Have Skills:

• Expert in Azure networking, Identity, RBAC, Azure Policy, Monitor, and Defender

• Strong IaC (Bicep), Source Control, DevOps pipelines (GitHub/Azure DevOps)

• Exposure to compliance frameworks and regulated cloud use

• Familiarity with sovereign cloud principle.

Nice-to-Haves:

• BIO/NIS2 exposure, Sentinel

• GitOps tooling (FluxCD, ArgoCD)

• Experience with IDP, Crossplane, Policy as Code
